Gossip Girl 2x13 O Brother, Where Bart Thou?

Blair: Maybe I underestimate his emotional bond with Kim and Kristy from room-service. God, I just think that at the time like this he should be with someone who cares about him.
Eleanor: That is exactly why we are getting married to that we can always be around to care about each other.
Cyrus: It's true

Eleanor: How is Charles holding up?
Blair: Who knows? He's not returning any of my calls or texts, but the hotel says that they keep sending up food, so there something alive in that room.

Eric: I mean. We know that's gin in your coffee cup.
Cece: My point exactly - life must go on, as it always has.

Gossip Girl: More towers than Trump, more bucks than Bloomberg. Bart Bass definitely made his mark on Manhattan. The passing of a public figure can shake a whole town. But the real story is always the one happening in private, away from the headlines, at home.

Blair: Oh, good. Well, I just thought that after what happened at the church, you may not wanna be here.
Chuck: This is exactly where I wanna be. I have business to attend to.
Blair: OK, that's fine. But let's just find you some quite corner and get's some food in your stomach.
Chuck: I'm not in a mood for food.

Nate: You're really sweet with him.
Blair: Me? Sweet? No!
Nate: But you are. I mean worrying about him, offering him food, it's downright maternal.
Blair: I'm not maternal. I've just been spending too much time with Cyrus and I'm turning Jewish.

Cyrus: I just hope you know how happy I am, not just to be with your mother, but to have you, family! I love you, very, very much.
Blair (cries): I told Chuck I love him.
Cyrus: Really? That's wonderful.
Blair: No, it's not. It's horrible. I thought that if I could finally say it that everything would change, but he is just as selfish and solace as ever. Only a masochist could ever love such a narcissist. Help me. (hugs Cyrus)
Cyrus: You don't need help. He just needs time.
Blair: Wait, (hugs him again) not enough.

Blair: Chuck! Stop! Don't go, or if you have to leave, let me come with you.
Chuck: I appreciate your concern.
Blair: No, you don't. You don't appreciate anything today, but I don't care. Whatever you are going through, I want to be there for you.
Chuck: We have talked about this. You are not my girlfriend.
Blair: But I am me, and you are you. We're Chuck and Blair, Blair and Chuck. The worst thing you've ever done, the darkest thought you've ever had, I will stand by you through anything.
Chuck: Why would you do that?
Blair: Because I love you.
Chuck: Well, that's too bad.
Gossip Girl: voiceover Spotted: Chuck Bass leaving his father's funeral, and Blair Waldorf shedding tears for the dearly departed.

Cyrus: That sermon was surprisingly thought provoking. That stuff about life and death and our time on earth being so fleeting.
Eleanor: Darling its a funeral. What was he supposed to talk about, the stock market?

L'inizio è un po' controverso, l'atmosfera è surreale ma non mi è piaciuto il fatto ke nessuno sembri prestare prestare più di tanto attenzione al dramma ke sta vivendo chuck (ke ha perso l'unico suo familiare dato ke la madre era già morta).
Quando si vede la madre di Lily/nonna di Serena (classica stronza acida upper class) si capisce ke è una puntata in cui la simpaticona combinerà qualcosa per separare Lily e Rufus...e così sarà. Personalmente so ke tuttE voi (credo di essere l'unico maskio in qsto forum...ke record!! tifate per loro due...io invece non ce li vedo proprio come una coppia possibile...soprattutto perché aspetto il momento in cui Dan&Serena torneranno insieme, e ciò è incompatibile con una relazione dei genitori (ma poi fino a ke punto..?!). Chuck è stato controverso...una delle scene più belle della puntata è stato quando si è fatto trovare a casa di Blair, in lacrime, distrutto dal dolore per la morte del padre e si abbandona a lei...senza parole, solo gesti. Molto commovente. La scena un po' precedente, in cui Blair dice a Chuck "ti amo" è pure quella molto dolce, ma 2do me poteva esser fatta un po' meglio (anke se mi è stata rovinata dai sottotitoli dove ho letto "ti amo" prima ancora ke blair lo dicesse). Brutto il fatto ke chuck x l'ennesima volta la lasci lì come una scema con la classica lettera "ti meriti di meglio" ma in fondo era inevitabile per il momento. Dan&Serena...so ke succederà qualcosa, non credo subito...sarebbe troppo presto e scontato. Ma è bellissimo il legame indissolubile ke entrambi riconoscono di sentire l'uno per l'altro. E poi Serena è veramente stupenda, incredibilmente, un miliardo di volte più di Blair (so ke mi odierete!! xDD) ke quando corre verso Chuck per dirgli "ti amo" con i piedi a papera sinceram mi ha fatto un po' ridere
...prevedibile dall'inizio della puntata ke il segreto di Lily fosse stato un figlio avuto da Rufus ma ke aveva abortito. Probabilmente una scusa (anke un po' banale) per non farli mettere insieme e per aprire di nuovo la strada a dan&serena.
